Implementation of the 1dok protocol by Office products would enable the following application scenarios:
Scenario Local
In case of semantically structured content, the user would only have to press the "storage button" to save the information associatively, locally, without having to choose a file name or a register in addition.
Scenario Intranet
In the intranet of big organizations, the central administration, the classified filing and the intranet-wide exchange of documents could be realized as well as the providing of forms. Office products installed in the workstations would communicate directly with the document management system (DMS) over the 1dok protocol. With that, classified filing of digital documents would be guaranteed.
Scenario Internet
By means of the 1dok protocol, documents could be exchanged over the internet with any communication partner you like without leaving the Office programme.
